A wound grows worse with a lack of truth. Sin, like bacteria, grows in dark, damp places. The Bible declares, “For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed.” John 3:20. For a “sin-fection”, be sure to sprinkle on a salty confession and the light of God’s own Son. Jesus is the only way we can have forgiveness.

Prayer for today:

“Dear Heavenly Father, please let me admit when I am wrong. Remind me that the truth will set me free. Let me always make decisions of integrity, but if I don’t, allow me confess my sin immediately so that my heart can be clean again. Let me add the salty words of confession to my daily spiritual vocabulary. Save me from the debilitating infection of multiple sins by allowing me to remember to constantly stay in your light. Help me to daily speak the truth and always look to you to make good decisions in the first place. In Jesus’ Name – Amen.”
